Hi all. My 4+ year old female ferret was diagnosed with insulinoma. I have
read that diazoxide (proglycem) is a great insulin-blocking agent. However,
I have no info on side effects. This drug is not cheap, but I am willing to
do anything to make her life more comfortable. If any of you have had
experience with this drug or if a vet could tell me his/her experience I
would truly appreciate it. Her glucose today was 45, she is real wobbly,
and very tired. I am trying brewers yeast and feeding her properly. Any
info on this drug would be appreciated.
