Hi Everyone!

I just have to share. After we lost Kizsi, we moved everything out of our
newly painted, newly decorated and carpeted Guest Room and gave it to the
fuzzies. I looked around in there and saw an absolutely ferret proofed
room, something our old house doesn't have many of. No radiator, just four
walls, two windows and a closet. This room is right next door to ours and
we put a baby monitor in there.

Last night it sounded like they were taking the walls down. The more I
listened the more worried I got, so hurried in. Their night light was on
and they were literally running and jumping. All four of them. I sat on
the couch to watch as I was being completely ignored. There is many ferret
things in this room including a huge 5' long tube box filled with hay and
some toys. Very messy but they love it. I watched as they ran all around
me onto the couch, jump up onto the arm of the couch and then leap to the
top of this box sliding and slipping and in some cases off the end and into
the wall. Very scary. But it was Chewbacca that caused me the most alarm.
When he got to the end of the box he ran, leaped on the side of their 4
story condo and from the top of the condo leaped onto a hanging plant and
was swinging literally by his toe nails which were caught in the sides of
the basket. He seemed p****** that I rescued him. I took the plant down.
But what can I do about Chewbacca and Kodo, (the baby) climbing up the side
of their cage. My ferrets love their cage or I would remove it too. That
is where they sleep and it is never locked so they come and go at will.
Has anyone else had this problem? Or perhaps I am just being overly
paranoid. I worry that they will leap off the top of this cage which is
about 5' and hurt themselves. Oh and Kodo also climbs the mini blinds and
I worry that he may get caught between the slates. Sigh!!!!

When Kodo and Chewbacca drink they often dip their entire heads into the
water. Very funny, but does anyone know what this is all about? Or is it
just a ferret thing!!!

Only two of my fuzzies will take hairball meds. Should I force the other
two. I have tried before and they both acted like I was killing them. Is
there something else I can give them instead.

All of my little treasures love Yogurt Drops and Milk and Honey Drops and
an occasional raisin. I give them 2 treats a piece each day. Is this too
much?

Healing thoughts and hugs to all sick fuzzies and their humans!
