I have a friend who, being paranoid, wishes me to post this for her.
 
She has heard that it is possible to get the vaccine that ferrets
need (feline distemper and/or rabies) given to her such that she can
inject it herself. i.e. people can acquire the fluid and perform their
own vaccinations one their own animals in general.
 
does anyone have any info on this?
