Hi all!
I noticed a discussion on the FML the other day about ferret nightmares
where the ferret squeals in its sleep and lies limp for a minute or so after
being picked up. There have also been recent discussions about this on the
ferret newsgroup, but most of the messages are outdated now and self-erased.

Our little girl happy does the same thing, and we brought her to our vet for
a full exam including blood work, fecal and urinary samples. Although the
vet suspected insulinoma, her glucose level was fine. I told the vets at
the clinic about the discussion on these lists, and they wanted to know if I
could get more information for them.

So my request is this: for anyone out there who has ferrets that
squeal, chirp, or scream in their sleep, but haven't been diagnosed with
insulinoma after blood tests, could you please send your experiences to me?
Also, if there are any vets out there that have experience with this
'undiagnosable' occurance, that would great too!

Thanks!
Julie Moser
