Can all of you with cudly ferrets take a minute to answer a question for
me? We've got 5 ferrets, all under a year old. The oldest two are 9
months. NONE of our ferrets are what I'd consider "cudly". When I
think of cudly, I think of my dog who likes to sit next to you while you
watch tv. If one of ours is on the couch with us while we watch tv, I
can promise you that they're more interested in getting down inside the
couch than kicking their feet up and catching a couple of sitcoms. The
one we just adopted came from a family that didn't own other animals.
So she's more accustomed to humans and will sleep in our arms - IF, on
only IF, we pick her up while she's already sleeping. None will crawl
up in our laps or cudle when they're tired. They all have tons of human
contact and EXTREMELY loved. They each get tons of kisses from us and
lots of individual attention each day - spoiled is what you might call
it. I know the temperment of a pet is largely effected by the
upbringing they receive from early on. We are both very affectionate
and cudly with them. Have always been from the start. Do you think
from your own experience that this will aid in their responsiveness as
they get older. I know that being under a year old contributes to their
active, independant behavior. But one day, I would just love to have
one of them crawl up to me and fall asleep in my lap or just cudle up to
me.
