I agree about the loud squeeker.  And be sure to squeek it every time you
call your ferrets for treats.  That way they make a connection, squeeker
means treats.  I started with the little squeeker out of a dog toy, but it
wasn't too loud.  Went to Wal-Mart and checked their bicycle section.  The
cheapest bicycle horns they had were made of plastic and sounded like the
squeeker only MUCH LOUDER.  I can now call my crew from whereever they are
in the house, even if they are asleep.  Try them all and pick the one that
sounds best to you.  They don't all sound the same.
