Blessings to all!

I've been meaning to write about this since I heard it on the news. A
local elementary school did the usual "Christmasy" thing--with a twist!
Instead of gathering food for the local homeless shelter, they gathered
food, toys, bedding, etc. for the local animal shelter! Yea! It's about
time that other people realized that animals have feelings too! Now, if
only this could go on the rest of the year instead of just during the
holidays...Oh, well. I think I'm a little ahead of the times, thinking
that animals are just as important as people. I'm sure those supplies
are well appreciated after the tornado that came through this past weekend.
The shelter is boarding homeless animals until their owners find permanent
shelter for them, all free of charge. (Strange weather, Saturday we had a
high of 75 and tornado warnings all day, then Sunday the high was 29!) I am
hoping to be in a position to help a little bit more when the next storm
season runs through...won't spoil my plans by talking about them too soon!
lol

Hug all your fuzzies, because you never know when the time will come for
you to be parted...
