Thanks to Dr. Williams and Pam for the responses about my earlier posting.
We've been treating Miranda for 2 weeks now with the Zantac and Chloro....
(can't remember the antibiotic she's been on ...it's at home & I'm at
work), and she was acting better, but the last couple of days, she's
increased her water intake again (100+ cc/day & she's 2 lbs).
 
At our vet's advice, we stopped the antibiotic today & if the water intake
doesn't return to more normal, she'll go back for another exam & perhaps a
urine sample to check for Cushing's disease or diabetes (neither very nice
options).  According to my spouse, Miranda is a bit more lethargic today
than yesterday.  She cried a couple of times while being finger fed ... I
don't know what to think.
