After taking the CDFA petition and setting up in front of the post office
in an atempt to get signatures, I can see why postal employees go off the
deep end.

In an hour and a half, I got only two signatures and 5 idiots.

Idiots #1 & 2: They should set the ferrets free! Wild animals belong in the
wild! (Obviously PETA supporters or just morons)

(Note, the issue was domestic ferrets, who cannot survive in the wild and
are pets, not wild animals. The California Fish & Game thinks they are
wild animals, even when 48 states and the USDA say they are domestic.)

Idiot #3: My parents warned me never to touch ferrets because they have
poisonous bites!

(Note: This is a myth. Just like the one about ferrets sucking blood and
killing infants on sight.)

Idiot #4: Ugh! Weasels!

(Note: So whats wrong with weasels?)

Idiot #5: Why should we legalize disgusting, slimey rodents?

(Note: Ferrets are NOT rodents..They are not slimey either, nor are they
disgusting. The person who said this was disgusting.)

I tried to set these people straight and present a few facts, which were
ignored or disregaurded. It made me so sick and depressed, I gave up for the
day so I could beat my head against a wall till the urge to punch out these
idiots subsided..

California has soo many laws to protect idiots from themselves, that they
are breeding and producing more idiots..Makes me want to move to Nevada.
Even though I was born in California, I'm growing to hate this state more
and more..

My SO seems to feel legalizing ferrets in California may be a lost cause..
I hope not..
