Widget, our six year old, now tailess, wonder, has the grossest goo in her
ears.  It is the consistency and color of melted tootsie rolls.  We've
cleaned out her one infected ear two days in row and none of the other 4
ferrets have any sign of this.  We'll make her an appointment tomorrow,
but I just wanted to post and see if this means, in people's opinions,
that she has mites.
