I was at the mall Friday night and saw a rather silly toy which I'm sure
would make some ferrets very happy. It was called a "Weazel Ball", and was
a plastic ball (about baseball sized) that is battery operated and rolls
around. These have been around for a couple of years, and have already
become great toys for ferretdom. The new twist is that this one has a bit
of striped fake fur with eyes attached to it, which they call a weazel. So
when the ball rolls around, the "weazel" flops and twists and chases the
ball. The box talks about how the ball is being "chased by the weazel".
Rather amusing.

I was highly tempted, but had a difficult time imagining my two geriatric
ferrets would do anyting but ignore it, and my Corgis (dogs) would destroy
it, so I passed. But, it was only $4.99, and I would bet most ferrets would
go nuts over it.

The one I saw was at K B Toys (or something like that - it's a rather large
chain), in Christiana Mall, Newark, DE. It was a big display right in the
front of the store.
