Two days ago I took Mister to the vet for a recheck of his surgical site.
As I walked in the staff looked at me, grinned and said "We've been
waiting for you". I thought it was to be a ferret, but no... it was a
conure. So I came home with a conure. Well yesterday they called again.
I said I would be bringing back their carrying cage and they said cool,
because we have someone relinquishing a 5 month old ferret. I haven't
had a ferret this young in 15 years! He is a dark cinnamon color and a
real lover. Someone to wake up Mister a bit and to snuggle with. The
previous owner's excuse was "they were moving". Uh-huh. The staff was
surprised because the lady didn't seem upset about leaving him at all.
Before I got there, they played with him for a long time. So two new
animals in 2 days. Aaargh! I can assure you the conure's cage is secure
and I am going to be very careful. I did not come home with the kitten
and cat they were trying to talk me into, even though the kitten only has
3 legs and I have a soft spot for hard luck cases. Maybe my husband will
fall for it.
