I'm relatively new to the FML, but I can see that Skeeter has a lot of
fans here. I like Skeeter's post; they're undignified, irreverent, and
even downright cheeky at times -- in other words, very "ferrety" in
feel. I think they provide comfort to many people here, and that's
really what matters. They're like a good wake or a proper New Orleans
funeral in a way -- they help us to celebrate the happy memories of a
departed friend or relative or pet. Grieving doesn't have to be all
sad.

Skeeter, I want to thank you for the kind words you had for my first
Rainbow Bridge story, "Tuffy". They meant a lot coming from you. As
far as I'm concerned, you're my little buddy.

who hopes that it doesn't show)
