Greetings ferret people,

A few days ago a friend of mine called. She said that someone she knows
from a class she is taking needs a home for a ferret.I am very sorry I
don't know the details. My friend had very little information, and what
she did have, she was not sure of.

From what she said, she thinks it MIGHT be a female. She thinks it might
be about seven years old. She did not know if the ferret was used to
being around other animals. I totally did not understand the reason for
needing a home. Something about a boyfriend moving out. Maybe it was
his ferret. I am unclear. I'm sorry this is so vague.

I wish I could take in another ferret right now, but I just can't. One
of my neighbors expressed an interest in ferrets, and I thought about
seeing if they wanted her, but I just don't feel very good about it. The
neighbors are nice kids, but they are very young (early 20's), have dogs
and cats and know nothing about ferrrets. I just don't think sending
them an elderly ferret would be the kindest thing for the animal. I am
doubt they would have the money for vet care.

Anyway, I'm hoping someone near us might be having a craving for a new
one to love about now. My friend lives in St. Louis, so I assume the
ferret is in that area somewhere. I live in Union, MO and would be
willing to help with transport, but I don't have AC in my car, so it
would have to be when it is cool.

Please email if you have any interest or know someone who does. Thanks!

Jodie
