Re: Home Security
Linda, I've had some of the same thoughts as you - if somebody wants to
steal my tv or microwave oven, I'd be pretty PO'd and you had better believe
that I would take whatever legal actions I could to catch and prosecute the
burglar, but my little fuzzleheads are the most important thing. They are
the only things I have worried about. The rest are just things and things
can always be replaced. Our ferrets are family members. Do whatever you
think you need to do to protect your family - 2 and 4 legged!

Personally, I think we should get the HSUS to print up some warning signs
for us saying "BEWARE! VICIOUS, BABY-MAULING, WILD ANIMALS ON THE
PREMISES!" <grin and wink> That would scare everyone away! :)

Re: Just where do MF ferrets come from anyways?
Thanks BIG for setting the record straight on just which New York Marshall
Farms was in. (New York State as opposed to New York City.) I live not all
that very far away from Marshall Farms and I can assure you, the only
Brooklyn accents here are from emigrating NYCians! (Actually, there isn't
really that much of a distinctive accent here. Upon going to another state,
nobody ever tells me "Aha! You're from Upstate NY!") It's great - my
ferrets have exactly the same accent as I dook...I mean do! ;)

Speaking of NY, somebody a few weeks ago commented on their amazement that
Ferret Outfitters didn't know about ferrets being illegal in CA. Ferret
Outfitters is in another small Upstate NY town, Red Creek. It's about
as close to me as Marshall Farms in North Rose/Wolcott is. I can understand
them not knowing. My husband and I, like good responsible pet owners, read
a number of ferret books before ever getting our first. We had ferrets for
1.5 years before I found the FML and found out that ferrets were banned in
CA and other places. I don't think it was because we had ignored that
information. The information just isn't that well known...... The FML is
a great wealth of knowledge that not all ferret people share.

Wayne?), Atlas (Does Wayne have any Ferretone?), and Hijinx (Is Wayne good
 to bite?)
