Hi all,

I was wondering if any of you have some good tricks for giving
tablets or powdered medication.

We have to give some medication to Pixie; the stuff comes in
capsules, and these are to big to give her directly (we tried).

The next thing we tried was to take the powder out of the capsule
and mix it with banana (the vet said it was okay to do this). This
worked a couple of times, but then she caught on, and wouldn't
eat it the next time. Next we tried oatmeal, another treat she
usually loves. This worked only once. I think Pixie it too smart
for her own good.

I tried to dissolve it in water, but the stuff won't dissolve.

We're getting desperate; she has to be on this medication for
some time, so we need a better method.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Genevieve & Cliff, and ferrets Pixie and Max
