For those of you who may be curious as to what your state has for laws on
animal abuse and what species they cover -- a link through the Ferret Wise
Shelter Home page-- to NH Animal Statutes actually has added a listing state
by state defining the laws in the particular states against animal abuse.
For anyone who is curious to find out where their own state stands and
whether the laws pertain to all domestic pets the URL is

We hope that this will help those who are working towards equality of the
