As the topic turns to cages and shelving.....any of you who put wooden
shelves in, I have a good solution to the potential splinter and hygeine
problems. Go to Eagle or other home/building supply place and buy a sheet
of stuff that usually is sold for the bathroom. I'm sorry I don't know the
proper name but people use it to put on their walls/backboards in the
bathroom for easy cleaning and to be a water guard. It is a thin sheet of
material with a slick white side. You just cut it to size and glue it to
the wood. We did this in our cage and we now have a very cleanable, nice
surface. Just put down towels or something so the ferrets don't slide all
over! Maybe someone else on the list knows the correct word for this stuff.
Have fun.
