Hi,
I just had to respond to the posting about the ferret craze. When I got my
first ferrret it was just after they were leagalized in NH. The stores
couldn't keep them in. I didn't know very much about them but I took the
time, and money, to find all the info and supplies available. The people in
the store didn't know anything about them at all. So they could not be relied
upon for info. Which gets me to my major point, If the pet stores that sold
the ferrets would have the supplies, books, and knowlege, then maybe some of
these ferrets wouldn't have to suffer through ignorant (lack of knowlege not
an insult) owners. Finding ferret things and info is almost impossible
except through mail order and the people selling the ferrets don't know
anything about them. They keep them in shavings, dont have collars,
harnesses, hammocks, cages etc. The other day I was in a pet store at the
mall they had a ferret starter kit, if you have ever seen a rabbit starter
kit it was the same thing except they put in ferret food instead of rabbit
food. You can't keep ferrets in a cage that is 2 feet long by 1 / 1.5 feet
long, that's cruel.

Sorry this was long, but thanks for listening.
