 Hello,

It is with much sadness that I must tell you that I have lost another
ferret

This is the 3rd one that has left me since July 27th,2004

His name was Stanley, we were at a Ferret Show in Michigan in June 1997
and the Red Wings were going for the Stanley Cup that night, and that day
we bought a chubby Male Silver mitt.

I didnt care for the name Stanley but it was my husband's turn to name
the ferret, so the Red Wings won the Stanley Cup and we came home baby
Stanley.

Stanley was always a shy little guy, who didnt like you to mess with him
too much. He would sneak up on you and bite you on your ankles for no
reason at all.

Stanley loved to play with socks and drag them around. When his Dad
would come home from work, he would take off his black socks one by one
and Stanley would put them behind the dresser, he didnt care took much
for clean socks, just ones that had already been worn. It is just in
the last 4 years that he decided to stop bitting and let you hold him.
He used to just run when a stranger would get near him.

He was dignosed with cardiomyopathy in 2000, and had a enlarged heart so
he was put on heart meds and therefore he lived 4 more years.

He only had one cage mate his life that he loved dearly her name was
Cocoa, she passed away last fall.

Yesterday he took a turn for the worst and decided that his heart just
could not take it anymore, so he broke Mom's heart and left her.

Mom used to sing a song to him when he was a little Stanley, it was that
song that went, We want Stanley, meaning we want Lord Stanley the Hockey
cup. So when he would hide in the ferret room, Mom would sing the song
and he would come out, Mom was sadden Today for she knew that when it
was time to put him away she knew if she sang he would NOT come out this
time!!

Stanley Mom misses you and Loves you.

Mommy Ada.
