The only animal my ferrets have been around is a dog. It was a Bichon Frise.
Small (10-12 lbs. maybe - I don't jugd weight well) and very friendly. Though
she is usually excitable she was very calm with the ferrets and just followed
them around watching everything they did. Brandy, my little one (sable) jumped
on her back and expected rides. My fiance said this was quite a hilarious
sight. But when the dog di nothing she got off. Blaze, my BIG one (albino)
seems to have gained Cleo's (the dog) affection. She had pups about a year
ago and we think she sees Blaze as a new pup. She especially likes him. She
sometimes puts her paw on him and tries to pull him close to her (which
doesn't work well since he doesn't cuddle with anyone). It's really cute.
She's very curious but seems to know how rough she can be (maybe because she's
been a mom) however, we have never left them unsupervised.
Good luck- hope you find more friends for the fuzzies
