Hi, I was hoping someone could help me. I'm, looking for a ferret
friendly/knowledable Vet in Northern Virginia. I live in Centreville so
anything nearby,(the closer the better, needless to say, but I'm willing to
go to the ends of the earth to ensure my fuzzy's safety =) within an hour's
drive preferrably (Manassas, Warrenton, Sterling, Reston, Alexandria,
Tysons, Woodbridge, Crystal City, Springfield etc.) would be very helpful.
I have yet to buy my fuzzy but I want to have a vet's name and number
beforehand so I can take my new owner =) to have her first check-up ASAP.
=) I had a ferret a few years ago but we were just taking care of him to
help out a family friend for 2 years, I was younger (I'm 15, be 16 next
month =) and had nothing to do with the actual care of him, but this time I
want to be fully informed and take care of her myself. =) So I have just a
few last questions if it isn't too much trouble::: how old should a female
fert kit be before she gets her first rabies and distemper shots (I've found
strongly contrasting answers and would like a confirmation =) and are Imrab
and Fervac the 2 recommended? Do the kits need any other vaccinations? Can
I feed her Totally Ferret from the beginning or should I mix it with kitten
food? Iams? Well, I guess that's it. Of course, as soon as I send this
I'm going to think of something else, but that's life. =) =) Thanks in
advance and thanks in general for all the help I've recieved in the past.

My Most Sincere Virginian ALoha
