I want to thank the people who took the time to write to me about my
ferret's impending adrenal surgery; unfortunately I lost half those email
addresses. So I am posting here b/c I know a couple people wanted to know
how he did. Linus had his surgery this Monday, the vet didn't know what
gland was involved but it turned out to be the right side. Linus did okay
during the surgery, and was all tuckered out when I brought him home that
evening. He did develop one terrific bruise, it spread almost over the
entire area they shaved for his surgery. It's getting better already now,
and he's perking up.

Linus also thanks you for your concern--he's a sorry sight right now, half
his hair is gone from his back and his tail, his abdomen is entirely shaved
and bruised, his right forearm is recovering from being attached to a
cathater for two days, and they shaved his neck as well when they needed
more blood. Poor guy. No wonder he's spent the past two days hiding under
his shirts.
