To Bob C.: LOVE those nicknames your ferrets have for you. Made me laugh
so hard my ferrets were giving me funny looks.

Anyway...as for how my ferrets got their names...

Slinky, our first, got his name from the toy. I had one sitting on my
computer desk when we brought the little booger home and it just seemed
to fit.

Gizmo, second, from Gremlins. He's got this cute little face with a big
nose that just reminded me of him.

Kyle, third. I've always wanted to have a son named Kyle & since I've
decided that I'm too impatient to wait to be ready to have human kids, I
figured the furkid could have the name. Should have named him Calvin as
in "Calvin & Hobbes" though. It would fit perfectly.

Noel, fourth, was a Christmas present in 1996. I wanted something that fit
the season. She's about as small as her name, too.

Sandy, fifth, rescue, she came with it. I'm guessing because she's a
butterscotch.
