Hi,
i dont know why certain persons want to complain about "Modern Ferret"
and/or "Ferrets"...you know something I REALLY DONT CARE EITHER!!! if
you dont like the magazines than DONT BUY THEM....
personaly i love BOTH of THEM...each in there own way... i have watched the
FML and its posts for about a year now...its amazing the kind of stuff that
gets posted...
personaly (in my own opinion) the FML should be for learning about
ferrets...where you can find ferrets and ferret information...the do's and
dont's...medical information...health care...new treatments, procedures and
INFORMATION that has come to someones attention..natural health care and
supplements...or just plain old questions...and of course lets not forget
the funnies..and the places and people to avoid...
POSTS (again in my own opinion) should not be made to put someone down (i
can understand in ABUSE CASES)...or in fact a magazine down...when someone
posts something...its SIMPLY A POST...it doesnt need to be picked and torn
apart BY ANYONE...POSTS are usualy put here to be answered or for someones
just plain old information...all information/treatment should be discussed
with ones veternarian or holistic practisioner...and the person interested
in the information provided in this forum should use his/her time and
resources to check it out...or contact the person who posted the material
and type or talk to them about their resources and etc....
there is alot of good stuff in the FML's...
and there is alot of fluff in the FML's...(that makes you smile and laugh)
and there is some questionable information..but there again thats why we
have a brain so we can research FOR OURSELVES this information...always
check it out..ALWAYS...just because someone has never heard of it or would
not personly do that does not mean that it doesnt work or that it is not a
good idea...you learn something new everyday and every minute...so share
that information!!!
but when people attack a post that was meant to be INFORMATIVE for some
reason...ie: just discovered a new treatment or cancer causing ingredients,
and etc....well thats when i think that the FML is wrong....if you want to
attack someone than attack them thru EMAIL not thru the FML forum...but
again thats my personal opinion take it or leave it....
i do not think that the magazines should be put down on the FML...like
i said if you dont like them, then dont buy them...there is not alot
of information available on ferrets...we have to scour around for
information... we trade for information and etc...but like any magazine
or information that you may find on the FML or in a magazine, talk to you
VETERNARAIN if you have a question or a concern...all you have to do is
ring up your veternarain, they should be happy to help you out...if not
find another...and just because you live in an illegal area DOESNT MEAN
THAT YOU CANNOT FIND A VETERNARIAN...ferrets annanomus (i cant spell) is
a great organization for HELPING PEOPLE AND THEIR FERRETS....
this post is not made to make people angry in any way...this post is just
made out of concern for some of the things i read on here and how some of
the things are handled...in the year i have been on the FML i have only
flamed someone once (well thats what i was told i was doing by BIG and a
few others)..that was because he HIT HIS FERRET and openly said that...when
it comes to abuse i cannot hold my fingers back...but as all animal lovers
go, im sure they could not either...
well i guess enough of this..and like i said its not meant to hurt anyone
or make someones fingers go happy...its just an observation and i felt that
i should say something about it....
