I just read a book by Andre Norton called "Scent of Magic", and one of the
characters has a "pet" that I swear is a ferret....
 
I don't want to give away any of the plot as it refers to the little
critter, so I won't say any more about what the "pet" is like, but it was
a fun book to read and wondering if the character was based on a ferret or
not, and whether or not it would be portrayed as "good" or "evil" kept me
entertained.
