The entire point of using vaseline is the fact that it is not digested, it
passes through completely unchanged while gathering up hair and helping it
to pass through.  Having no scientific studies on astroglide in ferrets, I
certainly don't think it is a good experiment on a pet.
 
BTW, vaseline is not recommended for sex because it degrades latex.
It is not harmful if ingested in small amounts.
