I've finally caught up on about two weeks worth of FML's.  A section of my
roof didn't meet the challenge of nearly three foot of snow and ice, so the
PC has been packed up.
 
ECE; I didn't mean to imply in yesterdays post that people's ferrets don't
have ECE.  My concern in a misdiagnosis is that ECE treatment is basically
just sustained supportive care.  If there is another illness responsible,
support only will allow the illness to progress.
 
Toenail clippers; I've tried these in my quest to find the "perfect"
clippers.  One major concern is the width of the cutting blades and the
distance between them.  There is a very real hazard of cutting a toe or
toe pad.  Our shelter director uses the scissor type clippers designed for
cats.  I use fingernail clippers.
