Hi All,
Laurie here - aka - fuzzytheif. All the ferrets from the shelter that
closed in Michigan are here with me. They will all remain here for awhile
till all medical & social problems are acessed & taken care of. Our
wonderful vet has agreed to make a house call this Wednesday to check them
all so that we can take care of the more serious issues right away. Jean &
I brought home 36 ferts. 26 of these are WHOLE. 4 are in heat NOW! 1 is
possibly preggers. 1 serious prolasped rectum. 1 possible adrenal. Once
he has checked them, I will be able to give you more details & of course 11
neuters & 15 spays. After all this is taken care of, I hope alot of you
will open your homes & hearts to these lost souls from Michigan. Regular
adoption procedures will apply (screening of interested parties) Some may
feel I am being to picky but I WILL NOT allow these ferrets to go through
anymore heartache than they already have! I don't get into the political
crap or who knows who etc. - I ONLY care what is best for these ferrets &
I will see to it that they get the best! They deserve it!

If any of you would care to donate to help these fuzzies - I would be very
grateful. I am going to keep records of anything coming in & what it is
used for. If you choose to, please only send to me - DO NOT fall for the
(I'll see that see gets it) We have all heard that story & know how it
ends. If you would rather help by sending a donation to the vet, that
would be great to. I will be using two vets. Our pro for the serious
problems - Dr. Wayne Turner - Animal Clinic Northview & Douds Vet.
Hospital for the spays & neuters. The address are:

Laurie Long 664 Bell Ave. Elyria, Oh. 44035

Animal Clinic Northview 34910 Center Ridge Rd. North Ridgeville, Oh. 44039

Douds Vet. Hospital 12115 Leavitt Rd. Oberlin, Oh. 44074

The accounts at the vets are - Laurie Long - The Raisin Retreat Ferret
Shelter.

They are all in nice sized cages, plently of good food & water, clean
bedding etc. They seem to be adjusting well. I will keep you updated of
our progress. Sorry this is so long - Thank you for taking the time to
read it.
