Hi!  I am yet another ferret owner from Toronto, Ontario, who is having a
family debate about ferrets.
 
My mother-in-law, states she "hates" ferrets because once they mature they
stink....stink...stink.
 
Can anyone tell me at what age a ferret "matures"?  And is it true that ALL
ferrets, will eventually have that distinct odour?
 
Our "Sherlock" is 5 months old and does not smell at this point, however,
he does swim a lot at the lake, or in the bath tub.  He was descented and
neutered at 6 weeks of age.  Any comments would be appreciated.
