Yesterday I went to Wal-Mart and bought a $110 sewing machine so I could
make a quilt for the incoming baby. Somewhere along the line I justified it
because I would save myself a bundle of $$$ by sewing on my own patches and
stripes for work too. (This decision was made after a futile attempt to
hand sew the edges...)

You know, I could have been a mature adult and BOUGHT a baby quilt, or maybe
a bedding blankie. But NOOOO, can't have that, it's got to be made by me.

So last night I learned how to sew, after learning how to set up the sewing
machine (I've never used nor seen a sewing machine used before). I promise
you, it looks horrid! Thank goodness I started getting a little steadier at
the end, since I still have to put some kind of edging material around it...
maybe that will cover up the mess.

You know, the fuzzbutt's gonna have a blast with me, I've got SUCKER stamped
all over me!

Sterling
