I am sorry reading all the health related posts on the list have you second
guessing your ferret ownership. We have had Vince a MF boy for over a year,
purchased him from a local petstore. My son and BT are his best friends.

Healthy as one could dream. Goes to the vet annually is on liquid heartworm
supplement and is a non-biting, fuzzy dream. At first the BT was
fascinated, then scared, but now is content to be a spoiled guardian dog
while Vince roams the house.

Only you can decide if ferret ownership is right for you. But if you go to
any pet lists I think you find a mixture of healthy stories and health
concerns. The concerns definitely bring us "lurkers" out of the closet.
