Isn't that odd...in my experience (I currently have twelve in the household-
ten of mine, a shelter kid here for biting rehab, and a boarder) my males
have a much higher hit rate.  In fact out of the cage, most of my males are
still 100%.  My girls drop to 30-40%.  I have noticed that the hobs are the
best of the bunch with the box- anal glands intact- maybe you are on to
something there!
