Hello Nycole and Dave,
 
I once had an attack of ants and found out that they HATE cinnamon.  I just
put little piles everywhere they were and the killer ants left.  I am pretty
sure that cinnamon wouldn't hurt your ferrets so you might want to give it a
try.  Good luck.
