Sure...raisins, other fruits, vegetables, cereal, etc, etc,...aren't 'good'
for a ferrets. They get a few carbos or calories out of them, maybe a few
vitamins/minerals...whatever. The point is if these treats are 'bad' for
them. Most treats are exactly that. Treats. They are in no way meant to
supplement/replace a fuzzie's diet and I've heard that they should
constitute no more than %10 (at the most!) of their diet. A raisin or two a
day would hardly amount to that. Just like french fries and ice cream
aren't 'good' for you...neither are ferret treats. But, you and I don't try
to subsist entirely on 'treats' (although I'm sure fuzzies wouldn't mind!!!)
and dole out 'treats' to your fuzzies accordingly. IMHO, the only reason
milk isn't given to fuzzies is that it may cause the runs. Chocolate is
another matter, but like other 'treats' a little bit (semi-sweet of course)
is given to fuzzies by several owners...including myself.

Flame away if you want, I could use a good chuckle. Be sure you get the
email address right though!!!

Chris, Cookie and Candy.
