Greetings everyone on the FML. We have formed a group called the Mass Friends
of the Domestic Ferret Group. I would like to give you an update on the Hse
Bill 295 and what you can do to help the cause.

Presently, the bill is in the House Ways and Means Committee. There has
been no date set as to putting it on the calendar. Please contact your local
State Representative and also your local State Senator, let them know you
support this bill and urge them to do the same. Also, have them contact
House Ways and Means Chairman Rep. Thomas Finneran and urge the Committee to
also support this bill.

If you do not know your representative, call the State House Citizens Info
Service at (617) 727-7030. They will be glad to assist you.

We should stress that this would also be good for business, i.e.,
Veterinarians and Pet Shops and also would be "Revenue Enhancing", i.e.
breeders licenses.

Also, please contact your local Veterinarians and Pet Shop Managers and ask
them to contact their local Reps. Ask friends, co-workers and family members
also to contact their Reps, Vets and Pet Store Mgrs.

A flier is available for anyone who wishes to do some leg work. We would
like them placed at these above mentioned places and also anywhere you can
think of that will get to the public. Please specify how many copies you may
need and the stores and clinics you will be bringing them to so we do not get
an overlap. Please send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Mass
Friends of the Domestic Ferret Group, PO Box 3123, Wakefield, MA 01880-0773
or call the Ferret Hotline at (617) 224-1098.

Thanks for all your help and support. Please lets make 1995 the year this
finally happens!
