Hello All,

I took Pauly into the emergency room Fri. He was acted very lethargic
and looked like a balloon. The radiograph showed nothing, but he is on
a laxative at the moment. He seems to be perking up. The though seems
to think that he may be anemic from fleas. We have been fighting a losing
battle for about 2 mos. He doesn't chew on things normally. Just takes
the erasure out of my book bag everyday and puts under the couch. Thought
he ate it, but found it yesterday entact.

We just got a new ferret Thurs. Could he be suffering from some emotional
stress?

Anyways, I'm sure most of you have heard about these flea pills. This
one does not kill the flea, but prevents the flea eggs from hatching
Ending the flea life cycle. The active ingredient is something beginning
with L ( sorry so vague ).

Does anybody have an opinion about this? My vet said they have been
using it in ferrets over in Europe for about 3 - 5 yrs. This pill is
not supposed to have any side effects unlike the pill that kills the
fleas. I am at my wits end, and willing to try anything. I did buy them.
You're supposed to give them once a mo.

Thanks,
Doug, Pauly, Rat
