At that age, an adrenal is not impossible, but not likely,  If he has been
injesting all that fur, he might have a furball - get him on laxitone or
Petromalt quickly and see if that helps.  If the fur does not grow back in a
few weeks, it might be an adrenal.  If he does not perk up in a day or so,
take him to the VET!
