        Well, Spunky the Ferret has a broken leg; the thigh
bone, just above what would be the knee in one of the humans.
        The vets proposed treatment plan is to put a pin in to
hold the break together while it heals.  Surgery, etc.
Questions:
        Does this make sense?
        Is $600 reasonable for this?
        What really are the risks?
        Any experiences, support, vet advice, etc would be more
than welcome.  Thanks, FMLers.
