Last night (9/25) on the local (NYC) NBC news, they ended the show with
about a 30 sec (or less) bit of ferret racing in Australia.  They showed
several long PVC pipes with a handler pushing a ferret in one end.
Then the camera angle changed to looking down the tube as a ferret
"dooked" his way through.  The final scene showed a little face poking
out the end of the tunnel.  It was pretty cute.  It seems that a local
Australian fad is to race the ferrets.  I don't remember what city or
state it was in and they didn't mention if this was a ferret-fun
fest or what, but with all the talk lately of ferrets in the movies,
here's another example of ferret propaganda.
