Hi there! About your coat changing: Since you have kits, they are now
getting in their first real coats. You can expect some change in color.
 
However, I have a male sable, about six, who has gone from a beautiful
black sable to a mutt color (gray, black, brown - it was weird) a couple
of years ago to a sable. This summer, when Ian grew in his spring coat,
he was a black sable again from head to shoulder, then just a regular
sable from shoulder to tail.
 
My black silver mitt used to be a gorgeous shade of white with black
hairs; now she's just kind of gray.
 
I always find it interesting to see what color is going to come out next! :)
