Hi all in Ferret Land!

I have finally caut up on all the past issues of FML.
Some good new's...My mother came to visit me who in the past thought I was
the craziest person she knew because of my love for Ferret's. Well she stayed
for a week and with a little bit of apprehension she helped me feed 15 of the
3 1/2 week olds their mush 3 times a day for that week, and she has finally
agreed that they are very sweet, and knows now why I am Ferret crazy, the
best part of all is she even wants one of them.
A very great accomplishment if you knew my mother! :-)

Any way to John Rosloot or anyone else who is interested....John had asked in
issue 764 if anyone had any experience with DIAMOND PROFESSIONAL cat food,
Well I have been using that brand for about 2 years now, I had been using
IAMS before that, I found that my ferret's have seemed to like it better, and
they have thrived on it, not just survived..
Yes it does contain a fish by product but lower on the list of ingredients, I
think the main concern of the fish products were that they should not appear
in the first 3 listed ingredients.
meaning that it is in moderation in comparison to the other ingredients.
I haven't had any problems with it at all, infact I start my kits on a mush
form of it at 3 1/2 weeks old..I take about a cup of the Diamond, 2 TSP of
Nutrical, 1 small jar of plain chicken baby food, 2 scoops of KMR, and 3 cups
of hot spring water and I put it into a blender until its smooth, and I feed
it with a plastic eyedropper to each kit, and then slowly decrease the amount
of water as they get older.
The kits I've raised the Diamond formula have seemed to either meet or exceed
their growth expectancy. And I haven't found anything as good at a more fair
price... I get it at our local "Pet Supplies Plus"..the pet store where all
pets are welcome to browse...
Any way I get it in the 20lb bags for $9.95. but have paid as much as $13.00
for it at other pet and feed stores.
one thing I've noticed on this feed is they don't seem to eat as much of it.
I may be wrong but I am contributing this to the Higher protein/fat
levels...(P34%-F21%) and of course less going in means less coming out,
especially when they get more out of the food to begin with. All my ferret's
are full coated and bright eyed, with mountains of energy...My vet says that
I have the prettiest, cleanest, and most friendliest Ferret's she's ever saw.
I agree! :-) of course!

JOHN...If you have any other questions on Diamond feel free to E-mail me.
Although not too many other people have heard of Diamond the ones who I've
talked to also like it very much.
Its comparable to IAMS in quality in my opinion, and No I am not getting a
kick back from the company either! :-) I just like the results I have had on
it,. So much so I send all my kits off to their new homes with sample
packages of Diamond form the company.

BTW..Gerry you forgot your's...:-) will be writing soon!

Well anyway, all take Care..

Michelle and The MASKeteer's:-)
