Actually, I did realize exactly that.  It wasn't hard to
discover his intentions, and it didn't take much work (or
common sense) to realize that it was a forgery.  Not that
I am defending him or anything.
 
Anyways, that should do it, and thanks for all the
ferret information and ideas (though my ferrets still
shit where they want ;-)
