Many thanks to HL who said that i did not need to credit her for
finding this so I am only using initials.
It is an article onthe Lyme bacterium in two mustelids, Vormela and
European Mink. Caution w possible early instar tick exposures could
therefore perhaps make sense for ferrets, too. Instars are life stages
w the ticks, and the very young ones, the pinhead ticks which have
recently been feeding on the ground nesting rodents who are the
reservoirs of Lyme Disease, are the ones who pass it along.
I do not have time to read it tonight so you and i will be enjoying
it at about the same times.
