Faith,

I have the same problem. I just clean it with hot water and a household
cleanser - a little bleach helps also.

Then I rinse it with plain water. I have paneling on the wall which
makes it easier to clean.

I thought of Plexiglas also, and plastic, and even a small piece of
linoleum that's easy to clean.

I used to have a long thin Plexiglas litter box which fit snug, but it
was harder to clean than others.

I put newspaper under the cage but I don't have a big problem there.

I'd be open to suggestions on this too.
