I wonder if the owners of all ferrets who have died or been injured
from this are numerous enough (or one of them is well funded enough) to
bring a suit against the company. This is a huge problem. To some of
us, these are our kids - and the cages were bought before anyone knew
this. The shelf replacements do nothing at all to remedy the situation.

If anything, are people interested in a mailing campaign for the
company to at least make new shelves? I realize that everyone should
use covers, but what about the hundreds of people who are going to buy
these cages who don't know until it's too late?
