This is my first post even though I have been reading the FML for many
years and have had ferrets for 19 years.
My Ferret Samson is sneezing sounds congested, seems warm when I pick
him up, his eyes look as though he has a cold or an allergy and he is
just not himself.
He is approx. 4 1/2 yrs. old, I think he is a Marshal Ferret. He has
always been a bit wheezy at times, and I always attributed that to him
getting pneumonia when he was a baby. My friend who bought him for me
had been sick with a cold after I got Samson and I think that is how
Sam got sick.
Samson is my sweety and big brother to Daphne Delilah, Hissy Missy
Moo Pooh, and Buddy the Bud Man, none of which are showing any signs
of having a cold.
Samson ate some FerretVite and some treats a little while ago but
was not interested in his chicken gizzards and hearts or his Totally
Ferret. He is getting around pretty good other than his occasional
slip of his back legs on the kitchen floor.
I have been looking for work for six months and cannot afford to take
Sam in to see Dr. Bock in Boulder, CO
I was thinking of giving Sam an 1/8 or 1/4 of Baby Aspirin but hate
to do that without some advice from other folks who may have other
suggestions or know the specifics about the dosage for Baby Aspirin.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
