I don't know who Helen is, but if she wants to write me, I would be
more than happy to talk with her as I just did a stem cell transplant
for my sister. I was the donor. It was performed on 1/21/08 and my
sister is just beginning to realize the true value of the stem cells
starting to work in her system. Her counts are coming up which, the
nurses assure them, would not be happening on her own as she has
nothing left to build cells with as her bone marrow was destroyed with
chemo. It was a truly humbling and rewarding experience for me and my
family. My sister suffers from AML. (a type of leukemia).
