AHS is the ASSOCIATED Humane Societies and they DO have a history of
helping ferrets some, but they are not highly funded so are limited
on that score.

They often work with the ASPCA to stop animal abusers, including
getting an importer's NJ license removed after that importer was doing
a pile of bad things including bringing ADV infected fur fitch from NZ
to sell in NJ as pet ferrets years ago.
