AHS is the ASSOCIATED Humane Societies and they DO have a history of helping ferrets some, but they are not highly funded so are limited on that score. http://ahscares.org/ They often work with the ASPCA to stop animal abusers, including getting an importer's NJ license removed after that importer was doing a pile of bad things including bringing ADV infected fur fitch from NZ to sell in NJ as pet ferrets years ago.
